Review: Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Spoiler-free judgment.

Continuing the process of mirroring the original trilogy movie by movie, Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) is a send-off of The Empire Strikes Back (1981), albeit a feeble one. Though it supplies some entertaining action-adventure and strikes emotional notes as characters find closure to their arcs, as a “dark middle” for the new trilogy it’s quite tame.

Stardust Requiem

A farewell to my galactic princess Carrie Fisher.

A long time ago, when I was a teenager I set out to shoot a short film entitled “Carry The Fisher”. It was about a young clerk bored with his existence and the world around him and whose only joy came from a psychotic obsession with Princess Leia in Return of The Jedi (1983). That and smoked salmon.
